Michael Abbott has more than ten years of distributed computing experience and has been published in several peer-reviewed publications and speaks regularly on p2p frameworks, XML and distributed transactions. Abbott is very involved in the computing community as he participates on a JSR Expert Group at Sun, participates on a technical committee at OASIS and has chaired the XML Sig for the Software Development Forum for the past 2 years. Abbott was most recently the CTO and Executive-Vice President of Electron Economy, a supply chain software company, prior to its acquisition by Viewlocity in Fall 2001.
While at Electron Economy he built an engineering team of over 140 people, enabled Electron Economy to be named to Upside's Top 100 companies of 2000 , participated in securing $86 million dollars in investment over two rounds of funding and filed four technical patents. Prior to Electron Economy, as the Director of Java Solutions in the e-Commerce practice at USWeb/CKS, Abbott led the design and implementation of multimillion-dollar engagements and initiated important strategic alliances with leading technology partners such as BEA and ATG to give clients Java-based e-commerce solutions.
Abbott holds a BS degree in Biochemistry with a focus in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University as well as the completion of almost two years of Ph.D. work at the University of Washington. Abbott also serves on the board of directors for Innogenex and on the strategic advisory board to SchemaLogic.

Larry Alston brings more than two decades of technology and business experience to his role as EVP of Product Management at eXcelon. Larry conceived and oversaw the launch of the industry's first XML-based information server. Based on Larry's leadership, eXcelon Corporation's B2B division grew from $2 million to $20 million during the Year 2000.
Prior to joining eXcelon, Larry worked at Bachman Information Systems as a developer of CASE tools. As employee 35, Larry saw the company grow from $0 to $50M in revenue, and assisted in the company's IPO. Larry began his career at Symbolics, an AI workstation vendor, writing tools for AI development environment.

His research expertise is in an integration theory linking business processes and product content. He has authored over twenty-five publications while collaborating with the NASA High Performance Computing and Communications Program, National Center for Advanced Technologies, Office of Naval Research, Air Force Research Laboratory, and industrial partners. Mark was granted his doctorate in 1996 by the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dave Hollander

Dave Hollander has been teaching computers how to help humans communicate for over 20 years. He is a technology strategist and architect who has been on the leading edge of many key information technologies. Dave's career has concentrated on information management, blending new standards and technologies with corporate opportunities and needs. For example, while chief architect for hp.com, XML was invented in response to the need to find a better way to manage information.
Dave has had a leading role in the development of XML since its inception. He is a co-inventor, member of the first XML Working Group, leads the XML Schemas Working Group, and participates in the Web Services Architecture Working Group. Dave co-authored the W3C Standard, "Namespaces in XML", co-authored a book titled XML Applications by Wrox Press, and was technical editor for XML Schemas from Morgan-Kauffmann. Dave has also contributed to a variety of eCommerce standards: OAGI, RosettaNet, OBI and the ECO Framework.
Focused on business oriented information management, Dave's corporate achievements include founding and chief architect of www.hp.com, leading the development of Contivo's semantic modeling technology, deployment of an internal HP-wide search engine and development a CD-ROM publishing system for all of HP's technical manuals. Dave has been on the advisory board for Cohera, XMology, OSM, and Noonetime and held senior technology positions at CommerceNet, Hewlett Packard and Bell Laboratories. Dave is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Contivo, a provider of automated data integration.

Prior to joining Allegis, Mr. Morrissey served as a Product Manager and Development Manager for Continuus Software, a maker of enterprise software and content management products. Morrissey was a key contributor in the company's growth from 25 to 175 employees, prior to its purchase by Telelogic.
Prior to Continuus, Mr. Morrissey was founder and CTO for Design Intent Software, a maker of sales configuration software for engineered products.
